Dog park's just a weird date.

[ he was joking but... you know what, why not? ]

[ he puffs out his chest and nods a little with that "i've just decided this and i'm not entirely confident about it yet" kind of bravado. ]

Oh. Jesus.

[He leans in, shifting to rest his forehead against David's shoulder. It's the gentlest melodramatic theatrics ever.]

Now I feel underprepared.

[ he laughs quietly and puts a hand on the back of jeff's head. ]

What would you've done differently?

Nothing. But I could've psyched myself up beforehand, right?

To do what? Exactly what we've been doing?

[ here have some pats on the back, that'll help. ]

[He's mostly just being silly, because approaching whatever this is with any more gravity feels like it would be insane.

At the same time? The touch really does help.]

[ he shakes his head with a soft noise to say no. ]

[He kisses David's neck once.]

[ he tilts his head to encourage a lil more of that. ]

I wouldn't trust me with a game, might break your controller.

[Dismissive. He does take that cue, though, sweeping a soft line up the slope of his throat.]

[ oh. that really is super distracting. it takes david an extra moment or two to notice jeff said anything. ]

Dinner and beer and Rocket League then. Sounds nice.

[And then all the way back down, a cautious little scrape of teeth at the juncture of David's neck and shoulder.]

What're we doing at your place?

[ well that gets a noise in response that david tries to hide behind clearing his throat. extremely rude. ]

Honestly? [ he laughs a little ] Probably would've tried to get you into bed by now.

[ like why else would he invite someone to his place anyway? ]

[David will probably feel more than hear the surprised little snort.]

On the second date, huh.

[ he is very much Not A Romantic sorry jeff ]

[He doesn't seem Bothered. Kind of amused, if anything, and he hopes that comes through when he nips at that same spot on his neck.]
